Kier and Interserve among winners of £1bn Yorkshire Water framework

Amery, Interserve and Kier are among the contractors appointed to Yorkshire Water’s £1bn civils framework – part of its AMP7 spending period.

Yorkshire Water manages clean and wastewater collection and distribution for over five million people.

The framework will run from 2020-2025 with a possibility of extending it for a further three years.

It is split into three sections: complex civils covering the design, build and refurbishment of treatment assets such as reservoir and pumping stations; minor civils lot one, which covers new-build and upgrading works to treatment assets with limited design; and minor civils lot two, covering specialist works to water retaining structures.

Firms have been awarded places on 18 contracts across the framework following a year-long procurement process.

Yorkshire Water head of programme delivery Mark Baker said: “They will assist in the formation of a truly collaborative, innovative and efficient delivery vehicle to help meet our enterprise delivery model aspirations.”

For AMP6, which covered 2015-2020, Yorkshire Water had six contracting partners including Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions, a Morgan Sindall Grontmij JV and Morrison Utility Services.
